After 5 wonderful years, we have made the very difficult decision to wind down alder. Don't worry - we're continuing to operate until our inventory is sold out.

It is impossible to express in this note the immense gratitude we feel for the experience of running this company and are truly humbled by the experience of creating sustainable, inclusive outdoor clothes for you all. We’ve had the privilege to work for and with such an incredible community and the opportunity to impact your ability to enjoy the outdoors (no matter how small or subtle) has been the honour of our lives. 

We will forever remain advocates for cute, comfy, and sustainability-made outdoor gear and an outdoor industry that is welcoming to all. 

We have been fighting for what feels like a long time to make this sustainable model work. As you’ve likely felt yourselves and seen, it’s been a hell of a few years for small businesses and we have not been immune to the many challenges. Sometimes, the best path forward is another one. We are working hard to see the beauty that lies at the end of a cycle, but we will sorely miss you all <3.

So, this will be the last time you can shop alder. We will remain selling items like our iconic open air pants, essential pants, dresses and more until they are all gone for good. Everything is marked down from 40-80% off and is final sale.
