One of the best products so far from Alder!

The skort is one of my favorite items that I've gotten from Alder Apparel. It is super comfortable, very stretchy and flexible around the waist. I wear it constantly! I have two of the older dresses in the XL and always hoped for bit more give and length, and I feel like they really got it right with this skort.

I am OBSESSED with these skorts! I bought two because I couldn’t decide on a colour, and I’ve worn them nearly every day since their arrival.

While I’m not using them for hiking personally, as an early childhood educator, running after preschoolers has never been as comfortable. The pockets are perfect for holding various treasures and walkie-talkies, and the fabric does exactly what it says: gives the freedom to get dirty. I spend my days sitting in a sandbox or on grass, and everything just brushes off. Water play? Dry before I even realize I got splashed. I’ve sent several coworkers and parents towards Alder, and even convinced a friend who has a visceral distaste of skorts to give it a try!



(Also; For those of us who have dress codes, it is exactly the right “fingertips” length above the knee

A bit disappointing

I bought this skort to wear at work (I’m an audio tech). First, the sizing chart was way off. I have a 39” waist and originally purchased a 2x as that’s what the size chart recommended (it’s also the size I wear in the take a hike short 2.0). The 2x was so big it couldn’t stay up at all. I exchanged for a XL which fits but still does not stay up if I am running around or have anything in my pockets. It’s disappointing that this skort doesn’t stay secure during activity. I think if I sized down it would not give me a flattering fit. It would be helpful if the waist was a bit tighter so it would stay up. So I don’t love this product as much as I hoped. It could work better if you have larger hips (mine are 43”)
